Sicurezza 2017 and Smart Building Expo ended with 25,569 visitors (+35%)
The 19th edition of SICUREZZA, Fiera Milano’s event leader in Italy and a benchmark for the security and fire-fighting industry in Europe, and SMART BUILDING EXPO, the event organised by Fiera Milano and Pentastudio dedicated to the smart building concept, was attended by 25,569 professional visitors in three days (+35% compared to the past edition).
This positive trend is also confirmed by the presence of numerous exhibitors: 465 (+40% compared to the past edition) occupying three pavilions (in 2015, the pavilions were just 2).
“Over 25,000 operators from 86 countries visiting the event confirm how SICUREZZA is a benchmark for the security sector.” – observed Fabrizio Curci, CEO for Fiera Milano – “This event is an innovation and professional training hub for this industry, as it provides concrete solutions in a period in which integration and digitisation are changing the rules.
“The exhibition’s strength is its cross-cutting offering – continued Curci – enriched, for the first time this year, by SMART BUILDING EXPO, the event that took place simultaneously with SICUREZZA”.
SICUREZZA represented many sectors, such as video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and passive and cyber security. This year, the fire-prevention sector, in terms of both detection and suppression, joined this already wide offering.
The areas dedicated to drones and the means and technologies displayed by Italian Armed Forces and Law Enforcement officers were a huge success.
The training offering was also strongly appreciated. With its 150 events, it met the industry’s update requirements, focusing on what will be the next professional challenges: the new Privacy policy, cyber security and data protection, anti-terrorism, and designing systems.
Moreover, the first edition of SMART BUILDING EXPO brought a breath of fresh air, as it was an opportunity to talk about building infrastructure as the basis for the evolution of the ultra wideband plan and digital services. The event’s offering and its training and information sessions were essential for the attending companies, as they revealed new opportunities, and took on the challenge of the future, i.e. the integration between security and home automation industries.
Save the date! The next SICUREZZA and SMART BUILDING EXPO events will be held in two years, from 13 to 15 November 2019.
