BIRRA MORETTI: AN AUTHENTIC ITALIAN STORY FOR OVER 150 YEARS
 
In 1859 Luigi Moretti founded his "Brewery and ice factory" in Udine. At that time in Italy beer was produced exclusively with artisanal methods and the modest amount of beer was brewed for a small clientele of aficionados, so the modern industrial techniques and cutting-edge equipment in Luigi Moretti's factory were perceived as a true revolution.
 
Over its 150 years of history it has attracted new aficionados and admirers in Italy and, step by step, it has also crossed national boundaries: today it is exported to over 40 countries and its production now exceeds 2 million hectoliters per year.
 
Currently the Birra Moretti family includes eighteen brands: Birra Moretti Ricetta Originale [Original recipe] (lager), Birra Moretti Grand Cru, the brand new Birra Moretti Lunga Maturazione [Long maturation] and Birra Moretti Grani Antichi [Ancient grains], Birra Moretti Baffo d'Oro (pure malt), Birra Moretti Doppio Malto [Double malt] (high fermentation), Birra Moretti La Rossa [Red] (bock), the new 2016 beers Birra Moretti La Bianca the new Italian weiss and Birra Moretti Zero (alcohol free). The regional range Birra Moretti Le Regionali  are true specialties characterized by the use of an ingredient typical of the area of reference. And finally Birra Moretti Radler Lemon, Chinotto and Lemon-lime, three very refreshing drinks where the beer is combined with the genuine flavor of 100% Italian citrus fruits.
